Podcast: What Is Laziness?
Laziness is often described as a lack of willingness to make an effort, but the reality is more complicated. Sometimes, what looks like laziness may be caused by low motivation, uncertainty, boredom, stress, or feeling overwhelmed by a task.
Our brains naturally try to conserve energy and avoid unnecessary effort. When a task feels difficult or offers no immediate reward, we may be more likely to choose something easier or more enjoyable instead.
Understanding the reason behind this behavior is the first step toward changing it. Instead of simply labeling yourself as lazy, consider what might be making the task difficult to start
